Hello!

I’m following my lifelong dream to ride my bike across the United States.

This blog will document my trek.

Day 8: Hancock, MD to Cumberland, MD (60.6 miles)

Day 8: Hancock, MD to Cumberland, MD (60.6 miles)

After a restful night at the Happy Hills campground, we biked on the C&O Canal trail for the 3rd and last day on our way to Cumberland. Visited Little Orleans and Sandy Flat before arriving at the Paw Paw Tunnel. On to Old Town before ending in Cumberland. We stayed on the lawn of a rider’s (Gerri’s) sister. Steve Ruegg and I were the dinner cooks for the group. We made Amy’s Mole Chili and it turned out great. Strawberry shortcake for desert. Not bad for 2 min-cooks!
