Day 60: Darby, MT to Missoula, MT (66.7 miles)
Waking up to 56 degrees and sun was very welcome after the previous day. Everyone was excited to get to Missoula today for a hotel stay and a non riding day tomorrow. The ride from Darby passed through Hamilton, Victor, Florence, Lolo before reaching Missoula. Most of today’s ride was on the Bitterroot trail running parallel to Route 93. The road was very busy, so that was a good thing. We continued to see the Bitterroot River to the east. Upon arrival in Missoula, we headed to the Adventure Cycling Headquarters to get a group picture, tour the building, and meet the people we’ve spoken to prior to the trip. Tonight we’re staying in a hotel, which is appreciated. Dinner tonight at Notorious P I G Barbecue, which was excellent. After dinner, we walked to Draught Works and Kettlehouse Breweries, two of many in Missoula.
