Day 13: Pittsburgh, PA to Wheeling, WV (63.3 miles)
After a terrific stay in Pittsburgh, we headed out around 7:45 am, headed towards West End, and on to Carnegie, Rennerdale, Oakdale, McDonald, Midway, and Burgettstown via the Panhandle Trail. We crossed into West Virginia at the 35 mile mark, and rode through Colliers, Follansbee, and Wellsburg. As we approached Wheeling, we switched to the Wheeling Heritage Trail. Our lodging tonight is inside the St. John’s Wheeling Fellowship Church. They are also feeding us a spaghetti dinner tonight. The local WABC affiliate took a picture of the group and interviewed Mike & Dan, the tour leaders, for a piece on TV tonight.
