Day 66: Pollack, ID to New Meadows, ID (24.4 miles)
Interesting day, starting with a shorter ride from Pollack to New Meadows, all along the Little Salmon River. We saw lots of cows grazing, ranch land, and hay farms. A friend of Ber and Yo’s (Shawna Della) invited the group to stay at her vacation home near Payette Lake by McCall, ID. It was an offer too good to pass up! We loaded the bikes on the van, and drove there from New Meadows. I spent the afternoon on her Tige’ Waterski boat watching others wake surf, waterski, cliff dive, and soak up the sun (unfortunately I didn’t want to take a chance on reinjuring my neck/ back). It was still fun taking pictures. For dinner, we went to a Mexican restaurant in McCall, then also got ice cream. What a fun, and unexpected, day!
