Day 10: Confluence, PA to West Newton, PA (53.0 miles)
Started the day fly fishing on the Youghiogheny River, with some success. Left Confluence (where the Youghiogheny and Cassleman Rivers meet, btw) by 8 am and reached Ohiopyle 10 miles later.
Side trip to Falling Water, Frank Lloyd Wright’s residence designed for the Kaufman family. Rode through Connellsville, Liberty, and Perryopolis, before reaching the Cedar Creek County Park, right on the GAP trail.
Unfortunately, Tom Allison from Michigan, took a bad fall today and dislocated his finger. He’s seeing a hand surgeon in Pittsburg today. Hopefully, he can continue the ride.
