Day 3: Fredericksburg to Pohick Bay, VA (80.6 miles)

Night was punctuated by two very loud mating owls in the trees near my tent at 2:30 am. (Breakfast discussion determined they were mating, not fighting! We have deep discussions in camp!)

Early start since Dan was tonight’s cook for the group. (My turn in 3 days). Cool, changeable weather. No rain in the end. Some headwinds to start, but sweet tailwinds at the end.
