Day 2: Glendale to Fredericksburg (76.9 miles)

Started from Glendale at 8 am, just after a downpour. Pretty rainy for most of the day, which highlighted the importance of good rain gear. We passed through the towns of Elko, Old Cold Harbor, Mechanicsville, and Ashland before arriving in Fredericksburg. Scenery has been terrific and this area is about 3 weeks ahead of NY in terms of blooming plants and flowers.

Spending the first night tent camping. Will sleep well tonight.
